We are having an issue creating a WAR.
We have an app that depends on plugin A and it depends on other plugins: B, C by "build" scope.
The application should only "require" plugin A, and in my own opinion I just hoped that B and C will be included aswell, but that is not the case (strange, right?)

I think there must be some kind of dependency map for plugins but can't find it anywhere on the web (googling at least)

Re: Modularizing your Grails Application – Domain Classes

You can use a memcache plugin so that your cache level is a distributed cache store and will be more consistent than each machine having it's own cache.

Re: Enabling AWS Console Login for IAM Users

cool. jeesh. now here i was looking for iams food for my brazilian cat.

The guy had a new inductor (DR73-100-R) and the repair manual but was afraid to attempt the repair himself.

After taking it all apart per the instructions in the repair manual I discovered that the inductor looks to be fine. When looking at the board as shown in the repair manual the diode (D303) just above the inductor is damaged. For those that were asking which way the diode is installed, it goes with the black stripe (cathode) on the left.

The damaged diode has the marking symbol 1B on top and the circuit board has it labeled as D303 next to it so I looked in the repair manual and found the diagram (pg 51) which indicates that D303 is a MA111. Found the data sheet for Panasonic MA111 which shows it's actual part number is MA2J111. A quick search of ebay for "MA2J111" and I got 100 of them for $7 including shipping.

Now I'm waiting for the diodes to arrive so I can continue with the repair. I will update when I've got more to share.

References:

I've attached a screen shot which shows the circuit diagram from page 51 of the repair manual.

If you’ve used the grails install-plugin method of including a plugin in your project your application.properties file will list the plugins for your project. This method of listing dependencies, and the “new” dependencies DSL for Grails 1.3+ do not mix well, so be sure to stick to one or the other!"

Wait. Suddenly I understand. Are you saying that running grails install-plugin <x> is a script that adds to application.properties, which is different from the contents of the dsl?

plugins {
compile ":hibernate:$grailsVersion"
compile ":jquery:1.6.1.1"
compile ":resources:1.0.2"
test ":spock:0.6-SNAPSHOT"
build ":tomcat:$grailsVersion"
}

...this explains why I don't see all of my plugins in that closure, but in application.properties. You seem to be implying that, in order to migrate to the new style, the application.properties file should be edited to remove those lines pertaining to plugins, and the BuildConfig.groovy should have those added.

...So i did that. And it worked. Funkatronic.</x>

Re: Modularizing your Grails Application – Domain Classes

Hot damn!
One of the things that worry me when sharing a domain model and of course the same database between two applications is how the 2nd level hibernate cache could mess things up.

One application could have a different view of the data than another app.
